Advanced Search Help

Use the Advanced Search options to precisely and effectively search using specific title criteria.

Advanced search options are saved for subsequent searches.

Clear All removes all previously set search options.

Search Terms

Use the drop-down boxes to search on various terms.

When searching for a phrase or exact title, all words in the phrase or the title must be contained within double quotation marks: " ". For example, to search for the title Population Studies (0032-4728), enter as "Population Studies". Please note that some fields utilize an auto-complete option.

Multiple search terms can be used:

When searching on "Start Year", "End Year" or "Circulation" within search terms, you can perform a range search by using dash symbol: "-". For example, "1990-2000" or "100-1000".

You can also use wildcards in a range search. For example, Start Year "*-1900"

Search Groups

Use groups to create more sophisticated queries.

Multiple Search Term groups can be used:

Limit Search Results

Use search limiters (such as "Status" or "Serial Type") to filter results based on selected criteria.

Additional limiters are available by clicking More Limiters.
